I had the best years of my military life at the Rhein from Oct 1991-1993! When I first arrived at the Rhein, I was roomed up with SrA Bass. He'd just been reassigned from Clark AFB in the volcano aftermath. Shortly after Jay McKee and I paired up. From then on we took the term “buddy system” to the most literal sense of the word (can I give a shout out to our girl Sylvia!?!) - PCS’ing together to Goodfellow AFB, Osan AB and finishing up at McGuire AFB.

I got out of active duty in March of 1999 and finally wrapped up with the NJ ANG in January 2003. Figuring I'd get on with a police department, I started taking college classes till my number was called for an academy. When New Castle County PD (DE) called, I was less than a year away from my BA in Accounting. With the significant urging of my 2nd wife, I stayed in college and went with Ernst & Young in Philly until we had to relocate to Tampa FL.

I have now been working as an accounting manager for an awesome company (Outback Steakhouse) for 6+ years, but I will always miss the camaraderie I found with all of you at the Rhein.
