I was an LE troop assigned to SPOLC from 91'-93' and Johnny "K" was my first Flight Chief, talk about learning from one of the best. While Stationed at Rhein-main I was deployed to Mogadishu Somalia where as a young Amn I learned pretty quick that this was pretty serious. After Rhein-Main I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo Tx, where I deployed to Soto Cano AB in Honduras, talk about dirt cheap, as well as Dhaharan AB, Saudi Arabia where I had the unfortunate pleasure of being only a few buildings back from the terrorist bombing that cost 19 Airmen their lives, very sad day indeed. From Texas I volunteered for Korea, where you worked long, long hours but you played just as hard, at least in Korea the whole base played in the exercises, not just the cops, oh and everyone stayed in the field, unlike our state side bases where when it hits 1600 hrs., everybody goes home EXCEPT the COPS. My last base was McGuire, talk about having the life sucked out of you, I spent my Millennium in Kuwait where I was the NCOIC for the American footprint off-base, found lots of UXO's, luckily none of them detonated. Last but not least was a deployment to the Highland Squadron Lossimouth Scotland, awesome deployment. After the service I bounced around from job to job and finally found a home in Albany NY. I run the Security at the Comptrollers office and I am currently in school to get my nursing degree, don't laugh they make good money.
