Well let’s see... trying to sum up about
20 years into a few lines. I was stationed at the Rhein between
1985 and 1989. I was on shift for a short while then onto the
NCOIC Reports and Analysis. I had a great time there and we definitely
did a lot of partying - myself, Paul Todd, Jeff Cullen & Larry
Wimbrow to name a few. I miss the old NCO Club and my German bier...
"1878 PopTops" I believe they were called. I will never
forget the '85 Bombing of course, Attempted High Jacking, oh and
the blowing up of that ladies Mercedes doors at the terminal...
she was weird. Anyway, I left the Rhein and went to Little Rock
AFB, LR, Arkansas and never left. I became an Investigator for
5 yrs then the Assistant Operations Superintendant. I retired
a TSgt in 1994 and went to become a Police Officer for the University
of Arkansas @ Little Rock Police Department (UALRPD). I became
a Detective with them for about 10-11 yrs. I accepted an offer
with Regions Bank Corporation as a Fraud Investigator (Suits and
travel), but it really wasn't for me. That lasted about 3 months
and I went back to UALRPD as a Computer Support Specialist and
Auxiliary Police Officer to keep my certification. I love the
computer work and did some computer forensics as a Detective.
I would have liked to have done more. I am married with 2 step
children. They're adults now - a boy and girl, ages 21 and 20.
I recently checked out Classmates.com and found that Hazel Patridge
and Larry Wimbrow and others were using that sight. You can contact
me if interested at wcreardon56 "at"
yahoo.com. Great job on the website, I’ll see if
I have any photos from the past I can post.
Bill Reardon, SSgt at the time, Retired
TSgt now.
P.S. was never good at that damn WAPS testing
(LMAO)
