After Rhein Main, I spent 6 years
at Randolph. Two as the LE Trainer and four as an Airman Leadership
School instructor and obtained my bachelors degree. I then retrained
into Safety after two failed attempt to become an officer (I guess
they knew what they were doing). I left Randolph for Langley AFB
and cut my teeth in the Safety arena then went to Lajes Field in
the Azores for 15 months and played softball till my grapes turned
blue. Left Lajes and headed to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas
and retired as a Master Sergeant in 2005 after 20 years and 10 days
in the great Air Force. I'm now the GS-12 (now YA-02) Chief of Safety
at Brooks City-Base (formerly Brooks AFB) in San Antonio. This place
closes in Sep 2011 so I gotta find a new job, but have some really
good leads before the government places me somewhere. I will finish
my Master's degree this year and hope to be a millionaire by the
time I'm 40. Wait, that passed a year ago...how bout 50?
Been married to the same woman for 21 years and can't believe she's
put up with my sh!t this long. She's an RN at Wilford Hall. My daughter
Ashley graduated college this year, my oldest son Steve Jr. started
college at UTSA, and my youngest son, Joey, started high school.
Musically, I have been in bands since the Randolph days. Most notably
opening for Eddie Money in 2003. Yeah, he was washed up, but still
it was fun. You can check out my original material on my myspace
at www.myspace.com/sinsinatraoriginals. I have been singing the
National Anthem for the San Antonio Spurs, Missions and Rampage
for the past two years since my return to SA. There are a couple
of videos on my myspace as well. Get a hold of me if you want, I'm
on the Air Force and DoD globals. I'd like to hear from youse.
