Just a little info after I left the squadron.
In the middle of my tour as the Shirt for the Cops, I left the
unit and became the Chief of Protocol at Rhein Main for the remainder
of my tour (1 1/2 years). Moved to Brooks AFB as the Shirt of
the Armstrong Lab and then on to Randolph AFB as the Shirt of
AETC. It was during that time that I was selected as the Command
Chief (Senior Enlisted Advisor)for the 12th Flying training Wing.
I retired after 30 great years ...took three days off and started
what I thought was my dream job as a grass cutter at the Golf
Course at Randolph.
Another Retired Chief and a Cop named Ron Dubie called and asked
if I was ready to leave San Antonio and come up to Boston MA for
a DoD job a new training facility....did that for 4 years and
then became the Deputy Director of the DoD Executive Leadership
Development Program (ELDP)...great job but had to move to D.C.
Benn doing this for 4 years now and lovin it.
I have run into a few folks from the past like James Babin (who
I have
shared this web site with)
All in all having a great time, and thank you for allowing me
to be part of your site. I will forward it also to CMSgt (Ret)
John Ensor and Col J.D. Spiller.
The 435th SPS was the best assignment I had in my 30 years and
I will never forget the folks who defended the faith and made
things happen at R-M.....
Out here and God Bless
