I arrived at Rhein-Main in 1983 and was B Flight Chief for a while. Moved to Information Security in early 1984 and stayed there until 1988 when we were assigned to Holloman AFB in New Mexico. Worked PSO for the last 4 years at Rhein-Main. Atta boys include: Best Information Security Manager in MAC 1984, 1985 and 1987; Best Information Security Manager/Specialist in the Air Force 1986. I enjoyed going to Little Rock three times as the Info Security guy, but the most memorable was when Dee found out she was pregnant, after we were there, and had to run the obstacle course. I had more bruises than I thought possible and had Ron Ewers push me to the end of the run after. We finished second, in spite of me!! I went to Aviano, Italy for 4 ORI's and had more fun than I should have. I think I visited every Polizei Station in the greater Frankfurt area to pick up my boys at one time or the other. They are both Police Officers now, one in New Mexico and one in England. My daughters are both married, one to a German AF Pilot and one to a USAF Pilot. After retiring in 1991, I ran security for a tribal casino in New Mexico for 6 years. Then I worked with my wife for about 5 years until she told me one morning she loved me, but I was making her butt tired, so I bought a gun store. Now she runs her candle store and I have fun at the gun store. We are happy as can be. Who knew? I've been in New Mexico since retiring in 1991 and will stay here. Take a look at the store if you want www.ruidosofirepower.com. In the last couple of months, since joining the crew at this site, I've seen Ron Ewers, talked with Mike Levi and Bill Reardon and a few others. Rhein-Main will always have a special place in my memories.
